We’re fully into the winter cycling season in the U.S., which means that we’re doing most of our riding indoors. While that used to be torturous — no one likes spinning while they’re staring at a blank wall — it’s a whole different ballgame now. The newer platforms have transformed what used to be an onerous task into something we can actually look forward to doing. So today I wanted to find out what you primarily use for your indoor cycling workouts. Here are the options.
I'm in the middle of a FulGaz free trial. I started with Zwift, but just don't like the subscription model. Once the free FulGaz trial ends, I'll go back to the free RGT service.
For recovery days, I can just pedal to music and use the Wahoo! app with my Kickr Core trainer.
It's great to watch bicycle racing while riding indoors too. I often schedule indoor rides to match with live racing on GCN+.
I usually use one of the many GCN training videos and log it through my head unit. But I do mix it up with RGT and Zwift every so often. I have a Not-Smart trainer, so I can't use a lot of the erg modes on most platforms.
I create and load workouts directly to Wahoo ROAM. I put on a podcast or a video stream.
I love it.
The rides are actual video recordings mostly in Europe.
They are quite realistic.
The app came with my Tacx trainer and it is backed by Garmin.
